Anonymous asked: What does satan look like? And what does he ask of you?

satan has been represented in many forms, most typically as a goat. many claim that he is the representation of the dark force in the universe. personally, i see satan as a symbol of subversion, rebellion, and the inversion of typical cultural values. many of these values are christian, and many are handed down from the enlightenment period. each satanist usually has a very unique take on their spirituality, and i don’t claim that mine is fitted for everyone. but in my form of satanism, satan does not require anything from me but strength, a lack of fear, and a hatred for those who fight against me.

Anonymous asked: What do you get out of satanism? Do you pick up any abilities? Have you ever seen hell? Have you ever talked to the dark lord himself? Do you get the things you want? Sorry for the many questions, just hella curious.

as far as i can tell, i have not received any magical powers. i don’t believe in hell. i have directed rituals toward satan, but i have not “talked” to him. many satanists claim to have contacted either a deity or some kind of inexplicable force, but i have not knowingly made this type of contact. i get what i want because i try to get it. this is a form of lower magic. i don’t get the things that i am unable to get, and i don’t want those things.

What does the Baphomet & upside down Pentagram mean for Satanist.I know that in Wicca each point…

the inverted pentagram is a symbol of satan as the “goat of mendes,” with the top points representing horns, the middle the ears, and the bottom a beard. the sigil of baphomet essentially fills in these points with an illustration of satan. it is in many ways an inversion of the five-pointed star illustrated with the body of man, or of adam, the first man. “leviathan” is written in hebrew around the sigil. the sigil dates back at least to the early middle ages, but the church of satan trademarked the symbol in 1983. the sigil represents subversion, the spirit of satanism.
